A great new addition to the Outer Banks! Got to enjoy some 'me time' relaxing on the lazy river while the kids kept busy (all day!) on the rides/slides. Wonderful, fun atmosphere, yummy food and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive! Highly recommend getting a cabana but even if you don't, there are plenty of chairs and shaded areas. We will definitely be coming back...a lot!
Overall, I was very impressed with H2OBX! Well designed water park with great options for all ages. My kids enjoyed the freedom of being able to play in the kids area without mom or I staying right on top of them. Lots of age appropriate rides in the area kept my 4 and 6 year old occupied while I could lay back and relax. One large tower with multiple individual or two person slides that were all fairly fun and exciting. Second tower had two larger group rides. Obligatory wave pool and lazy river also were popular places to go hang out. There were also some obstacle type courses that both kids wanted to do over and over. They also have a single "Flowrider" standing wave machine which my 6 year old loved hanging out to watch the experienced riders and riding himself. We went towards the end of the season and lines were never bad, maybe 15 to 30 minutes was the worst line and many times we were able to get on the slides with little to no wait! Life guards were abundant but we're not intrusive while the kids played. We were able to get a season pass for next year and use it for the last few weeks of their first season. Great value for the money and we are guaranteed to be back again next summer!
This is the most thoughtfully designed theme park we have ever visited. We have 3 small children, so we are especially fond of the kids' areas. They are all in one general location - minimal walking to get from one area to the next. One partially-shaded area has a shallow pool, smaller slides, sprayers, a neat water table, and baby swings - all perfect for toddlers. The pirate themed area has a bunch of slides that are great for kids and adults. The mini wave pool is larger than expected and gives little ones an opportunity to experience gentler waves. The lazy river is the absolute best and worth the price of admission! The bigger slides are all off of 2 slide towers, which is very convenient, and wait times were 15 minutes or less. The staff was friendly and helpful, restrooms were clean, and food and beverage places were centrally located. The cabanas are nicely appointed with comfortable furniture and offer wait service. We had a blast and are looking forward to our next visit!
Our best day yet in the OBX! Great fun for everyone - Kids and adults! Slides and kid area so much fun! Not sure if we just got lucky but there were NO lines. We were there for about 6 hours and, the park had to close due to lightning. We all got free vouchers. Can't wait to return for FREE! Also- we got the deluxe cabana. Pricey but AMAZING!
It's a fun water park with a good selection of slides. I would suggest the season pass. I would like it if more slides were added. As the park expands and more slides are added it will get better.
