Embezzlement at its finest. Don't work here if you want the correct pay. top blankets and pillows only changed after four or five plus vacationers sleep on them first. Brenda should be fired she steals the lost and found and is unprofessional. Get your paperwork up front if your an employee. a co-worker said to me, she is just testing you to see if she can get over on you!!!! SHE REFUSES TO GIVE THE CORRECT PAPERWORK ON HOUSE PRICES THEN PAYS YOU WHATEVER SHE WANTS then you have no proof because you cant get the paperwork on whats due to be paid to you. And her boss said she stays out of it. No going over her head. Just stay far away from this greedy pathetic excuse for a vacation company.
Margarita Girl...just dont. The pictures are seriously deceiving online. Multiple chairs around the pool and front porch were broken. My friend nearly hit the dirt when she went to sit down on one of them. Beach chairs, 3 were broken, why aren't they thrown out?? So before even going to the beach for the first time, I had to sift through what was broke and what was not broken. The house was not cleaned very well upon arrival. About half way through the week, we were roasting veggies in the oven and the oven door would not open. Somehow one of the guys was able to get it open after struggling with it for what seemed like a half hour. Luckily the food was not burned. Kind of big deal when you have dinner for 10 in the oven. Dead fly's EVERYWHERE. Sand all over the floors near the washer and dryer. The place can use a serious updating starting with the washer and dryer and the dishwasher. The wallpaper border in the downstairs bathroom was peeling off the wall. The sliding door was incredibly hard to get open. The carpets and furniture could use a deep cleaning. And lastly, my son was watching a cartoon on the sofa in the second level. He called for me and as I came around the corner.......a huge cockroach was on the wall right above the sliding glass door. I felt that this place was filthy when we first walked in....with that happening on our very last night it was solidified. Absolute filth. Will not return.
We had a great time, but the house was nothing like what the pictures showed on the Web site. The house was not cleaned very well (sand on floors on bottom level), 4 of the 7 beach chairs were broken, and we had an electrical issue that took 3 days to respond to. I called the office and was told the pictures were 5 years old on the website, and the electrical issue took so long because of it being a holiday. I'm sorry but our family paid premium rates for the holiday week, they should've had an electrician out the same day. I would definately use another company next time.
We thought that our beach rental Skipper's Fantasy was a very well-maintained home, and the Elan Vacations staff seemed extremely friendly. HOWEVER make sure you really check the house out from head to toe and report EVERYTHING wrong. We got stuck paying for the pool table to be recovered, because it had a hole in it. The hole was there when we got there. It was an obvious hole, which we assumed they already knew about. We did not put the hole in it. When Elan called us about it, we told them this. Four months later we're getting billed for it. A big bill!!! So their inspectors do NOT do a great job!!!! We had trouble with the air conditioning on the first floor where 6 of our 9 people slept. It was extremely uncomfortable. Elan did send over someone, who put in a window air conditioner because they couldn't get the central air conditioning unit fixed. But again an inconvenience. So even though the people seem really nice, they will stick it to you with costs that you did NOT incur. We will not rent from them again or recommend them to anyone! JUST BEWARE!
Stayed at a house in Duck a few weeks ago. House was not too bad, but needs maintenance and the pictures in listing we quickly found out were from over 10 years ago. You can tell by the antique router in one of the pictures. And how new the floors look. Cob webs all over the place, pretty dusty, bed spreads did not fit the beds, and the wifi was stilling running on a router that was new in 2006 and only able to handle about 1 device at a time.
